Details
Siblawi has been a successful grower in a variety of climates up and down the east coast of the US. The variety seems to have good rain and humidity resistance in the deep south, yet also accommodates the shorter growing season in the northeast and mid Atlantic. The trees are fast growers and have medium productivity. Overall, the trees have a reputation for being healthy. Siblawi figs ripen mid season. The trees grow 3- and 5-lobed leaves that are thicker than other varieties of fig leaves. Siblawi, which many have purchased from fig-grower Will C, has been available in the fig growing community for several years.
While Siblawi can have a super sweet flavor, it is not overly complex. Tasters note honey flavors with possibly some brown sugar, while figgy flavors are absent from Siblawi. Some growers in rainy climates will find that heavy rains “wash away” some of this fig’s extreme sweetness when water content is added to the fruit.

When do we ship cuttings?
Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):
We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.
**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refridgerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.
Rooted Cuttings(Spring):
We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
