Roberts Golden Rainbow Fig
The name Robert's Golden Rainbow (GR) conjures up images of a beautiful fig you'd want to eat. It describes the many hues that these figs go through on their way to ripeness. Green, golden yellow, and light purple can all be present on this variety at once, making for a fig that is both pleasing to the eye and delicious. Inside Robert's GR you will find a juicy, sweet pulp that is full of flavor. Many have tasted fruity notes like strawberry and kiwi. And with the large figs weighing in it at 70-90 grams, there will be plenty of Robert's GR to enjoy.

Robert’s GR is a later season variety. It does well when planted directly in the ground, allowing it to grow to its full potential and produce more fruit. The variety originally came into the fig collection of enthusiast Robert in 2003 when his nephew gave him the unknown fig as a gift. His nephew was a member of the California Rare Fruit Growers Association. Although similar to Golden Riverside, it is not in fact the same. Robert gave it the name Golden Rainbow because it had many colors and Rainbow, CA was the town where his nephew lived. While this fig is not new to California fig growers, it is relatively new to a wider audience. Try this fig yourself to find out how Robert’s GR does for you.

When do we ship cuttings?
Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):
We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.
**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refridgerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.
Rooted Cuttings(Spring):
We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
