What is a candelabra?

Candelabras, sometimes called candle trees, are ornamental tabletop candle holders that can have several branches.  They are often found on tables with or without candles as a stylish centerpiece.  They can be made with several different materials and most have a brass, gold or silver finish to them.  While most candelabras have several branches for candlesticks, others have spaces for flower arrangements at the base and/or at the top.  Many candelabras have glass globes that are placed on each branch to keep the flame of the candle protected.
