De La Reina figs from Spain are extremely vigorous and puts out beautiful very dark figs with an intense sweet berry flavor. The name meaning “of the queen” is fitting for this fig that is held in such high regard by growers. Some have described their flavor as a sugar bomb with a strawberry taste to it. The interior of the fig starts out as a pale yellow around the exterior and fades to a deep red as it nears the eye. The sweet, moderately rich flavor is enhanced by a moderate seed crunch and an overall chewy texture.

When do we ship cuttings?
Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):
We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.
**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refridgerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.
Rooted Cuttings(Spring):
We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
