Details
Growers of De s’Avenc can expect small-medium sized figs to grow on their trees with single or 3-lobed leaves. Although the figs themselves may be small, this variety is known as highly productive with a long harvest season that can last from August-November depending on climate. The uniferous De s’Avenc will produce only a main crop each year.
The figs themselves have a dark purple or black exterior of thick skin. They are pear shaped and symmetrical. Inside you will find a dark red pulp that is very sweet. The flavor has notes of berry, honey, and some figgy flavor.

When do we ship cuttings?
Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):
We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.
**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refridgerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.
Rooted Cuttings(Spring):
We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
