Details
Mig Paratjal is a fig from the Balearic Islands that was part of Montserrat Pons’ collection. The mother tree was located on Son Rengo in the term of Campos. This fig is a subvariety of Paratjal figs, with a long harvest period. It is a bifera variety that sets a breba crop in late June and a main crop in late August. The trees grow at a medium-high vigor and have a scattered canopy of branches. You will find single or tri-lobed leaves with serrated edges on Mig Paratjal trees.
Inside, you will find a sweet and juicy flavor in the intense, red pulp. There is a medium-large internal cavity. Enjoy these figs right off the tree since they are not recommended for transport. Mig Paratjal are susceptible to damage from heavy rains and opening of the ostiole, however the figs have good attachment to the tree and are not known to drop when ripe.

When do we ship cuttings?
Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):
We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.
**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refridgerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.
Rooted Cuttings(Spring):
We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
