Michurinska-10 Fig
Our Michurinska-10 bears purple/green/brown figs that are small in size. They grow on trees with 5-lobed leaves, and the leaves have been described as resembling leaves of the Mt. Etna varieties. Michurinska-10's flavor is bright and sweet with notes of berry. The dense pulp fills the cavity of the fig.

Michurinska-10 is the most common fig variety found in Bulgaria. It is known to be very cold hardy, even producing figs when temperatures dip below 50 degrees Fahrenheit at night. Michurinska-10 produces two crops per year, with the first ripening in June. The second crop is the main crop, which can last into September or October depending on climate.
It is said that a professor by the name of Serafimova named Michurinska-10, the 10th fig variety he found in the region of Michurinska near the Black Sea. Some, however, claim that Michurinska-10 is actually the same variety as Florea, a Romanian fig. It is possible, since the two countries share a border, but experiments are still being conducted to find out if there is any truth to this.
Terms and Conditions:
***Please be sure to read our Terms and Conditions before purchasing cuttings***
When do we ship cuttings?
Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):
We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.
**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refridgerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.
Rooted Cuttings(Spring):
We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
