Pronouned “ol-ee-ay,” LSU Hollier is a fig from Louisiana Sate University’s famed fig growing program. There are several other desirable qualities that growers have noted about this variety: it is cold hardy, has good rain resistance, requires little light compared to other figs, and has thrived in dense plantings. All these characteristics make LSU Hollier a good candidate for those with small gardening spaces or large.
The pulp is a beautiful shade of amber yellow with some red that gives it a sunset colored appearance. From the outside, LSU Hollier figs are drop shaped with a neck. The light skin is yellow and the figs grow to medium size. The skin will usually have some crackling and dark sugar spots, but the figs inside are healthy despite these cosmetic markings.

When do we ship cuttings?
Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):
We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.
**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refridgerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.
Rooted Cuttings(Spring):
We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
