Italian 320 Fig
Italian 320 can also be shortened to I-320. This variety originally comes from Dr. Giorgio Grassi, who numbered his extensive fig collection. Dr. Grassi led a famous fig-growing project at UC Davis, which also produced the beloved fig, I-258, among many others. I-320 is said to be comparable to I-258 in its esteem.

Italian 320 is a black fig that has often been compared to the prized Black Madeira fig. The drop-shaped fig has beautiful skin with yellow and red coloring near the top that blends into a deep purple. Inside, the red pulp is very sweet, with a complex strawberry jam flavor. Italian 320 figs are full of honey, have a mild acidity, and a meaty texture. Italian 320 is a common variety, not requiring wasp pollination. The trees are very productive, and the figs have good attachment to dry on the tree.

When do we ship cuttings?
Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):
We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.
**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refridgerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.
Rooted Cuttings(Spring):
We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
