Campaniere is known as one of the most cold hardy figs available. Temperature is always a concern for fig growers in northern areas, so a variety that can withstand extreme cold is truly a gem! Famous fig collector, Thierry, discovered Campaniere on the property of a hundred-year-old French farm. He estimated the mother tree to be very old, and to have survived many winters north of the Loire region in France. Thierry’s discovery of Campaniere was so well regarded, that the fig won the Rustica prize at the 2014 Festival of Autumn Plants of Saint Jean de Beauregard.

When do we ship cuttings?
Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):
We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.
**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refridgerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.
Rooted Cuttings(Spring):
We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
