The fruits have a yellow neck that fades into a purple andgreen striped fig. Inside, the fruit is a light red color with plenty of juice to accompany the rich, strawberry jam flavor. While this variety originally hails from Spain, today Kremp Florist grows Bordissot Negra Rimada on its farm in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The florist sells cuttings and small fig trees to customers near and far with world wide shipping.
Bordisot Negra Rimada provides plenty of entertainment for fig growers as it changes throughout the season. This variety starts off with small figlets that are green and yellow striped. Some trees may even bear striped wood. As the fig ripens it will take on its signature round shape and the green and yellow stripes will begin to disappear. Bordisot Negra Rimada figs will start to darken and turn a reddish-brown color, however, there may still be striping present on ripe figs. When fully ripe, the skin may have a cracked appearance. Inside, the fig is sweet and jammy—delicious!

When do we ship cuttings?
Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):
We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.
**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refridgerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.
Rooted Cuttings(Spring):
We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
